The cooper’s art

We went down to Enoshima a couple of days ago hoping to get into the aquarium but it’s Golden Week here, a string of national holidays, and the place was absolutely packed. It was going to take us an hour in a queue to get into the aquarium so we made do with the human zoo on the streets and beaches.
That got too much pretty quickly though, so we went back up the Odakyu Line to the Minka-En, the old house museum, which was, relatively, an oasis of calm and sunlight filtering through leaves and paper onto aged wood. I felt much more relaxed after walking around there for an hour.

Well, some of your oasis of calm came through in your photo. I feel more relaxed just looking at it.

Great composition, and yes - it is a calming shot somehow…

Comments here and also on Flickr? The dragon has two heads.
What camera do you use Jeremy? Canon EOS? How do you shoot: RAW or JPEG? Your incredible photos bring out such questions. Forgive me if they have been answered in posts before.

What a wonderful scene. I am intrigued, and lead to wonder what these were used for, and how I can go there and join the calm!
