Zooomr 2.0
Comments: 9
Let’s get back into the swing of things here (oh, listen to me) with one more photo from last weekend’s motoring, this one in honour of the imminent release of Zooomr 2.0. I think I first heard of Zooomr on Thomas Hawk’s site and it quickly assumed a fairly constant spot on the radar because, let me say this simply, I want it to replace Flickr in my life.
I want something to replace Flickr, anything: my pro account (a lovely gift from lil that I really have treasured — I’m going to miss Flickr) has expired, and I’m just not sure I’m willing to give even $25 to anyone whose parent company might take a cavalier attitude towards helping people into prison in China.
So I’m keeping an eye on Zooomr’s blog (and do they love bloggers? Yes, they do) and wishing them the best of luck. This is exciting.
The photo, by the way, is looking through the window of Ryosenji, the temple at the end of Perry Street in Shimoda.

Thanks for your post, Jeremy. I hope that Zooomr will soon be able to replace Flickr for your photo sharing needs online.
Though, please do not worry about your Pro problems, as you and your friends & family are more than welcome to free pro accounts for life on Zooomr.
Your words and photography has helped me better understand the world we live in from an entirely different perspective.
